Found quite a few primary school and high school friends on Facebook. It is interesting to see what’s going on in their lives from the pictures that they posted. Just recently, I saw two of my friends (one from primary school and one from high school) had babies during the last two weeks – looking at those babies pictures make me realized how time has passed by so quickly.
Ever since the time I graduated from University, I felt that life has taken a faster pace. I remembered at that time, our conversations with friends would be mainly about finding jobs and choosing a career path. In just a few years time, the topics have moved to buying a house/flat, getting married and even further to buying baby diapers and car seat. I still remembered the first time I was involved in helping out at a wedding (for one of my best friends) – it was the summer of 2004. Now in 2008 – I am married. I have been to many bridal showers and now starting to attend baby showers, plus hearing the wedding and baby news from old classmates and friends – I suddenly realized that the 4 years after graduation have gone by very quickly and I am certainly in a different life-stage with increased responsibilities. (Do not be alarmed – I am not pregnant!) It makes me wonder – Will I be able to handle the gradually increased responsibilities demanded in this new life-stage? How should I prepare myself for the new challenges? What are my roles in it?
